Your first session
Here is what to expect, from your first message to the end of your first visit.
- 01
Step 1: You reach out
Send a message or call. Our intake lead, Cameron Hall, replies within one business day and can help you pick a clinician from the team.
- 02
Step 2: We sort out payment
Before you book, we check your plan's mental health benefits with you, or give you the fee in writing if you pay yourself.
- 03
Step 3: You fill in forms
We send intake forms through our own client portal, so you fill them in before the visit and not on this website.
- 04
Step 4: The first visit
Your visit is about 50 minutes. Your clinician explains how sessions work and what is private, and asks what you hope to get from therapy. You decide what to share.
- 05
Step 5: Afterward
You and your clinician agree on how often to meet. There is no set number of sessions, and you can change clinicians if the fit is not right.
Good to know
Before you come
What is private
What you say is private, with the limits the law sets: a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, and abuse of a child or older adult. Your clinician explains this at the first visit.
What we do not do
We do not provide emergency care, and our clinicians do not prescribe medication. If you need either, start with your doctor or an emergency room.
If you need to cancel
Please give 24 hours' notice. A session canceled with less notice is charged the session fee.
