Do you take my insurance?
Some of our clinicians bill some commercial plans, and which plans depends on the clinician. We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid. Our intake lead checks your plan's mental health benefits with you before your first session.
What is a superbill, and how can I use it?
A superbill is a monthly itemized receipt that you can send to your plan. Your plan may reimburse part of a session if it has out-of-network benefits; it decides. It carries a diagnosis code, which your insurer sees.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a written estimate of what care will cost before you start. We give you one. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
How much does it cost, and how do fees work?
Your clinician gives you the fee in writing before you start. The How fees work page explains insurance, paying yourself, receipts and estimates.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You can pay for sessions with a health savings or flexible spending card.
What happens in the first session?
Your first visit is about 50 minutes. Your clinician explains how sessions work and what is private, and asks what you hope to get from therapy. You decide what to share.
How often will we meet, and for how long?
Visits are about 50 minutes. Your clinician sets the pace with you, and there is no set number of sessions.
Are you licensed where I live?
Our clinicians are licensed in Oregon, and video sessions are for clients located in Oregon at the time of the visit, in the state where we are licensed.
What do I do in a crisis?
Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. In an emergency, call 911. Our website and voicemail are not monitored around the clock.
What is private, and what are the limits?
What you say is private, and we share records only as the law allows. The limits are a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, and abuse of a child or older adult. Your clinician explains this at the first visit.
Can you see my teen?
No. Our clinicians meet with adults, 18 and over, as individuals or couples.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give 24 hours' notice. A session canceled with less notice is charged the session fee.
